 Genk fought out a 0-0 draw against Napoli in the previous round, and will likely be happy to achieve something similar here. A win would be something of a shock, however, as Genk has played 14 matches in the Champions League (CL) group stage without a win - the most of any participating side. Inter Milan vs Borusia Dortmunt 24.10.2019
Inter are winless in six UEFA Champions League (UCL) games (D3, L3), with their 2-1 defeat at Barcelona on matchday two being the fifth in that sequence to separate the teams by under 1.5 goals. On a more positive note, two of those three draws (all ending 1-1) saw Inter equalize after conceding an opener beyond the hour mark.
The ‘Nerazzurri’ is, at least, unbeaten in their last five UCL games at the San Siro (W2, D3 - GF 7, GA 5). All matches saw both teams score, as part of a run of eight straight UCL home games separating the teams by less than 1.5 goals.
With Borussia Dortmund’s last ten UCL games (W5, D2, L3) seeing at least one team draw a blank, the first goal here may well be vital. Their last three victories in that sequence saw them win both halves, win the first half 1-0, and score at least once beyond the 75th minute.
Additionally, Dortmund has won every one of the last 11 UCL away games to see them score first. Seven of the last eight games in that group saw them win the first half with a clean sheet.
Players to watch: Nicolò Barella scored Inter’s last-ditch equalizer in their UCL group stage home opener. In turn, four of his last five competitive goals (including three penalties) have arrived beyond the hour-mark. Dortmund’s Achraf Hakimi was at the double in the German side’s last UCL away game. Both goals arrived in the final 15 minutes of their respective halves.
Stat attack: All seven of Inter’s goals across their last five UCL home games have arrived beyond the 70th minute. Sixteen of Inter’s last 17 UCL goals scored/conceded at home have arrived in the second half. Seven of Dortmund’s last nine UCL away wins have seen them score first inside the opening 15 minutes.

Including qualifiers, Ajax is unbeaten in this season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) campaign (W4, D2), winning both of their group stage games to date by a 3-0 scoreline. The Dutch champions have done so as part of a riotous sequence, which has seen them win their last six halves of UCL football with a clean sheet.
Across all competitions, Ajax remains unbeaten this season (W13, D4). Three of their last four competitive wins have seen them score exactly twice in one half, with the two goals in question separated by no more than 30 minutes each time.
In terms of Premier League (PL) and UCL form alone, Chelsea has been invincible since their last defeat (P4, W4), with those four games seeing them score exactly once (and score the last goal) beyond the 70th minute. The last three of that quartet also saw Chelsea win the second half 1-0.
Despite their recent surge, a competitive clean sheet on the road remains elusive for Chelsea this season. Impressively though, Frank Lampard’s men have won their last four competitive away games (all producing over 2.5 total goals), with Chelsea scoring once beyond the 75th minute in the last three of those road trips.
