Manchester United vs Brighton epl 10.11.2019

With just one win from their last six Premier League (PL) matches (W1, D2, L3), Manchester United enter the round two points behind visiting Brighton & Hove Albion. Curiously, despite a poor season so far, United have been in front at half-time a joint-league high seven times. However, they dropped points on four of those occasions - the joint worst in the league.

The ‘Red Devils’ have scored an average of just 1.18 goals per PL match, and just 27.27% of their league matches have featured three goals or more. Indeed, United have now scored precisely one goal in four straight home league fixtures.

Brighton, meanwhile, has won three of their last four league matches, and two of the last three PL H2Hs vs United. An important caveat - all those wins have come at home. Away, the ‘Seagulls’ have scored just one goal across their last four PL road trips (D1, L3).

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace 28.10.2019

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace today EPL match on 28 October 2019.

Arsenal recommences their Premier League (PL) campaign this weekend safe in the knowledge that they enjoy an excellent record as a home favorite since the beginning of last season (W16, D3, L1). Ironically, they are unbeaten in PL home games since April, when last facing Crystal Palace.

Unai Emery’s team knows the importance of the first goal as they’re unbeaten in all four PL fixtures when opening the scoring (W3, D1). Yet while they’ve only conceded one second-half goal in PL encounters this season, they’ve actually been losing five times at half-time - the joint-highest tally in the league after nine rounds.

Crystal Palace travel optimistically knowing they defeated four top-half teams last season, including champions Man City, whilst this season they’ve already won at Man Utd. Scoring goals is the key to their success as they’ve only kept three clean sheets across their previous 20 PL away fixtures.

Liverpool vs Tottenham hotspur 28.10.2019

Liverpool’s five competitive home matches this season have produced 23 total goals (4.6 on average), with both teams scoring in each of those fixtures. Confident at home, the ‘Reds’ are unbeaten in an astonishing 44 straight home league games - the longest such run in any of Europe’s top five leagues.

Their last home match was decided by a late penalty though, in what was the 34th time Liverpool have scored a winning injury-time goal in the Premier League (PL) - more than any other team. However, they’ve netted 66.67% of their PL home goals during the first half this season, although, against Tottenham, they’ve scored after the 85th minute in three of the last four competitive H2Hs.

Tottenham is struggling in the league this term and remain without a win on the road (D2, L2), conceding 2.25 goals on average. Without a win in their last nine visits to Anfield (D3, L6), they’ve at least found the net in six of those games.

Norwich City vs Manchester united 27.10.2019

It is a super Sunday match today, Norwich City vs Manchester United. On a four-game winless run in the Premier League (PL), Norwich City can at least take some comfort from the fact both their league wins so far have come at home (W2, L2). In fact, with all four of their home games ending with over 3.5 goals, Carrow Road has produced a league-high average of 5.0 total goals per PL game this term.

Although outsiders here, Norwich have scored in all three games they’ve played this season against teams that finished in the top six during 2018/19. Whilst they conceded at least two goals in all three of those matches (W1, L2), they also scored two goals within the opening 30 minutes in the last two such games, both of which were at home.

Newcastle United vs Wolves 27.10.2019

epl logo, english premier league , bpl logo
Premier League (PL) games have been tight at St James’ Park this season, with all four finishing with under 2.5 goals (W1, D2, L1), and three goalless at half-time. A 1-0 win over Manchester United in their last home match did give the ‘Magpies’ a second consecutive PL home clean sheet, as they now search for a third in a row for the first time since March 2018.

Six of Newcastle’s last eight PL victories have now been accompanied by a clean sheet, and with three of the hosts’ last four top-flight games witnessing no goal before the 70th minute, another solid defensive performance could be likely here. Indeed Newcastle’s last two competitive H2H wins also came ‘to nil’.

Burnley vs Chelsea epl 27oct 2019

Last weekend, Burnley’s unbeaten Premier League (PL) run was halted at four games by a 2-1 defeat at Leicester City. In turn, just over half (five) of the Clarets’ nine league games this term have seen both teams score, with each of that quintet producing an odd number of goals beyond the hour mark.
In contradiction though, Burnley’s last four home league games have seen just one team score (W3, L1), and each win in that sequence saw all of the Clarets’ goals arrive in one half, separating (if applicable) their first and last goals by less than 15 minutes.

Each of Chelsea’s four PL away games this season has produced over 3.5 total goals (W3, L1), with all of the wins producing over 4.5! All of those victories saw the first half alone produce over 2.5 goals, with two of them seeing Chelsea open the scoring inside the first 20 minutes.

Manchester city vs Aston Vila EPL 26.10.2019

Following a 2-0 away win to Crystal Palace, Manchester City (W3, L2) climbed two points closer to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League (PL) table in the last round. Ahead of kick-off, City has recorded 12 wins in their last 14 home matches, scoring two or more goals on ten occasions.
They showed no mercy against newly-promoted sides the last term, winning five of six PL matches in that category with a clean sheet, and 3.0 goals scored on average. Their current form apparently makes it a question of ‘how many’, as Man City have scored 3.5 goals on average across six competitive home matches this season.
With two straight wins, which have featured both teams scoring and 4.5 total goals on average, the ‘Villans’ have offered plenty of entertainment, with their away matches averaging 4.0 goals so far. Thus far, six of Villa’s nine PL matches this season have seen both teams score, though Villa has conceded the last goal in all four PL away matches so far.

Southampton vs Leicester city 26.10.2019

epl logo, english premier league , bpl logo
Southampton’s poor start to the season sees them hovering just above the Premier League (PL) relegation zone (W2, D2, L5). Leaking goals has been their biggest issue so far - their average of 1.78 goals conceded per game is the third-highest in the PL. Additionally, they have conceded two or more goals in three of their previous four PL matches.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side has been slow starters in their league matches so far and is yet to score a goal inside the opening 15 minutes of any PL match. They do tend to wake up after the half-time break though, scoring 77.76% of their league goals in the second half.

Manchester united vs Liverpool 2019

With just one win in their last seven Premier League (PL) matches (W1, D3, L3) the pressure is on for Manchester United as they take on Liverpool in the North West Derby. Nine goals scored (1.13 on average) and nine points from eight matches in the league are hardly inspiring, but United have history on their side as they’ve lost this home PL fixture just once since 2010 (W7, D2, L1).

United put four past Chelsea here in the season premiere, but have since scored precisely one goal in each of their last five competitive home matches (after 90 mins) - four of those matches saw them open the scoring.

Liverpool, meanwhile, is out to equal the current record for straight PL wins as they could claim their 18th on the bounce here. They beat United by 31 points last season and the distance is already 15 this time around - yet the ‘Reds’ have scored a paltry three goals in five visits to Old Trafford under Jürgen Klopp.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester city 20.10.2019

A Crystal Palace side unbeaten at home (W2, D2) in the Premier League (PL), take on reigning champions Manchester City having held their own in the last three H2Hs (W1, D1, L1). The ‘Eagles’ have conceded just one goal at home this season, and have seen an average of only 1.25 total goals per home league fixture.

Indeed, their overall average of 2.0 total goals per match is the second-lowest in the league. Part of that is down to cautious starts, with a joint-high five of their eight PL matches being tied at half-time - all five were goalless at the break.

After two defeats in their last five PL matches (W3, L2), City have seen Liverpool’s lead at the top increase to eight points. They remain the division’s highest scorers though (3.38 goals per match on average), and have netted at least two goals in every away match so far. However, they have claimed just three clean sheets from the opening eight PL rounds.

Newcastle United vs Manchester United epl 6.10.2019

Newcastle United are yet to win at home since Steve Bruce’s appointment and have failed to win six of their seven Premier League (PL) matches this season (W1, D2, L4). An attack that has scored just four PL goals has largely been the culprit, with just one strike at home. Furthermore, they had no ‘shot on target’ in their last PL game – their first such stat since December 2018.

Regardless, Newcastle has conceded just two PL goals at home enjoying clean sheet spells between the 16th-45th and 75th-90th+ minute periods. Five of Newcastle’s PL matches this season went to the break with under 1.5 total match goals, which has also been the case in six of their last eight PL home H2Hs.

On similar lines, each of Manchester United’s seven PL games this season went to the break with a 1-0 scoreline, five in their favor. However, the period between the 51st-60th minute saw United concede three PL goals negating a surprisingly exemplary first 30-minute defensive returns (zero conceded).

United’s tally (nine points) is their worst at this stage in a top-flight season since 1989/90. With no PL away wins since February (D3, L4), the woes might extend for the ‘Red Devils’ who have no clean sheets or multiple goals scored during this run. Indeed, just two of United’s last six PL matches saw multiple goals from either side, with all but one in this sequence finishing with under 2.5 total match goals.

Manchester city vs Wolves 6.10.2019

Fresh from a controlled 2-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League, Manchester City should be set for a routine victory. Three wins, 16 goals scored and just two conceded after four competitive home matches are the key numbers so far. Particularly impressive is the fact that City has kept a clean sheet in three straight home matches, and four of the last five overall.

The total goals output from matches involving the ‘Sky Blues’ stands at a whopping 4.86 in the PL so far. Significantly, all of their seven league matches have featured at least four goals, with a majority (four) seeing both teams score.

Wolves got their first PL win of the season in the last round, scoring two goals for just the third time in seven league matches. Still hard to beat, their tally of four draws is the highest in the PL and is impressive considering that they have been behind at half time in four of seven league matches so far.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth epl 6.10.2019

Ahead of kick-off, four of Arsenal’s last five Premier League (PL) home games have seen them lose one half by a one-goal margin. Encouragingly though, they have recovered four points from a possible six after going into the interval one goal behind in their last two home league games.

As a result of this tendency to surge in the second half, the period after the break accounts for six of Arsenal’s seven-point home tally so far this season. The ‘Gunners’ have also scored the last goal in each of their PL home matches this term.

Echoing the fact that all of Arsenal’s PL home games this term have seen both teams score, all seven of Bournemouth’s PL games to date also bear that characteristic. The ‘Cherries’ have opened the scoring in a majority (four) of those fixtures and consistently avoided defeat after doing so (W3, D1).

Southampton vs Chelsea epl 6.10.2019

Southampton’s roller coaster ride in the Premier League (PL) has already fetched them four losses in seven. Two of those have come at home (D1), and worryingly, Southampton has just three clean sheets from 22 PL home games since the start of last season, and none this year.

However, Southampton has managed to score in each of their last 17 PL home fixtures – albeit keeping just one clean sheet in the process. Regardless, each of their six PL results this season (wins/losses) was won by the side that scored the opening goal.
Chelsea has recovered from a horror start to the PL season at Old Trafford, stitching together a W3, D2, L1 run. Each of their three PL away games this season has produced over 3.5 total goals, with the ‘Blues’ winning the last two matches in that sequence – scoring eight combined, whilst conceding twice both times.
That is on expected lines, as Chelsea have already conceded 27 PL away goals this calendar year, with only Watford conceding more (33).

Intriguingly, even in such high scoring games, the first-scorer advantage holds strong – all five winners in Chelsea’s PL games this season have opened the scoring. Furthermore, a majority of those opening goals (three) have arrived within the first 20 minutes.

Players to watch: Five of Danny Ings’ six Southampton goals in the PL have come against last season’s top six, including two this campaign. Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham has seven PL goals this season, giving or extending Chelsea’s lead every time.

Stat attack: Three of Southampton’s seven PL games were goalless at the break.
Southampton is yet to score a PL goal in the first 30 minutes of play this season.

Chelsea has won their last four PL H2H visits here, with every game witnessing exactly one first-half goal.

Manchester united vs Arsenal epl 30.9.2019

So today is the EPL round of 7 just one match which is Manchester United vs Arsenal today on 30.9.2019. Manchester United entertain Arsenal unbeaten in Premier League (PL) H2Hs here since 2007/08 (W8, D4). Over half (five) of the last nine league meetings in Manchester have witnessed United win the first half 1-0, with four of those instances seeing them go on to win by a one-goal margin.

The hosts also have several other means to a psychological edge. Against all opponents, United boast a record of: W9, D1, from the last ten PL home games where they have opened the scoring.

Though Arsenal’s record PL-era defeat came here in August 2011, no team usually dominates a league H2H at Old Trafford. The last seven mutual PL clashes here have separated the sides by under 1.5 goals, as have all of the halves within that sequence.

In any case, the ‘Gunners’ should feel confident, after last weekend saw them win a PL game despite trailing at the break for the first time since December 2018. In turn, Arsenal’s last three PL games have produced over 3.5 goals and seen the first goalscorer fail to win.
